Warehouse Renovation – Case Study
The client is one of the largest packaging material products and services distributors in the UK, with over 20,000 B2B customers.
Project Overview
After the client relocated to a new warehouse within Glasgow, they needed to renovate and add offices for their needs. There were no pre-built offices, so we were tasked with creating a new office block, complete with toilet and canteen facilities to accommodate for the 12 members of staff that were going to be based there.
The project was headed up by Paul Aires (Passha), with the purpose of creating a practical, yet comfortable, working environment for the staff joining the Glasgow offices. We also tasked ourselves to keep the carbon footprint as low as possible throughout the construction and completion of the project.
The materials that we used throughout the project include: timber studs, plywood, plasterboard walls and finally a lot of insulation, to ensure that we achieve the highest possible energy rating for the offices as we could.
We were given a timeframe of 8 weeks to complete the task, taking into account any possible challenges we might’ve had to face. We completed the job successfully within the allotted time.
Uniques Challenges
The biggest challenge we encountered was the travelling distance. Due to the project being in Glasgow and our head office being in Rugby the distance to the job was greater than average, however, once we overcame this the task ran smoothly.
Outcome of the Project
The final results of the project were excellent. We completed all of the tasks in the allocated time frame and ensured that the client was happy with the set up for their 12 members of staff to work in.
We also ensured that our carbon footprint was kept to a minimum throughout the installation.
